Imagine that the place where a business is located is a seasonal seaside resort. After the season is over there won't be many customers to work for and being open off season doesn't seem to be a profitable idea.

Which elements should be considered in order to decide if it is a good idea to close the business until the next season comes?

If it costs you more to keep the store open then it is to shut it down - then shut it down. If however, by keeping it open you are at least covering your cost - then keep it open. The idea is what is best for you.

Is there something else you can offer locals (non-seasonal people) that they will pay for? This might allow you to keep our doors open and make a little money. Find a new off-season market to serve.
