Is there any book you’d recommend when starting up a business? I’m looking for one that serves as a guide in the process, not one that talks about how to become and entrepreneur or the skills needed. I ‘m in needed of something more practical. Thanks.

Hi Jason, Jeremiah's comment is to the point. 'How To' can only give you general guidance. Your business is inlikely to fall into someone else's ideas in every particular. This is not to mean that no good advie is available, just that you need to keep in mind that it may not apply to you. Download the free research guide for business plans at www.abusinessmentor.com That should give you some perspective. Good Luck! |

Startup Success (written by Rieva Lesonsky and Ronan Keane) covers 50+ online tools and resources you can use to start and grow your business. The PDF is 80 pages. It summarizes each tool or resource, pointing out a few key benefits and what to use it for. It also includes a link so you can quickly jump to each tool. As the book indicates, many of the tools are free or low cost. This is especially helpful for the early days of a business when you are keeping a hawk eye on expenses. |

I recommend Rework. It is a short read, and it offers lots of practical advice. |
