Hi,

I want to start up an online library on the subject of private military and security contracting, for which I would charge access. I need a lawyer to advise me on the legality of doing this. Considering the number of articles I have collected, over 20,000, it is impossible to go and ask all the publishers for their permission.

I believe it should be possible to do this if I did it as a nonprofit organization. But I need some legal advice to be sure. If possible, please recommend a lawyer in the Arlington, VA, USA area.

David,

Have you seen this site? http://www.hg.org/law-firms/Copyright/USA-Virginia/Chantilly.html. You'll probably find someone there to help you. It's a great place to find lawyers based on their location.

David, You could also get bids from lawyers at www.LawBidding.com. This may allow you to control your costs on legal fees better.
