I’m thinking about retail as a new option for starting an online business. Everything will be operated online, delivering products to customers. What I don’t know is how to organize inventories and what should be the amount of products needed to start so I can include it in my business plan. Any tips and resources are welcome!

The Softwares can help you do that. But you still need to provide the input .These are expensive softwares. I would recommend to start with the Open Source E-Commerce - zencart. You should know which retail segment you plan to cater to ?
