Companies spend tons of money on advertising and branding, but sometimes forget the inside out branding; actually I forgot it myself, because I’ve heard of it a few days ago. What I’m looking now is to apply it, so I’d like to know a little bit more, so whatever info you can provide it will be great.

There are some simple things you should do as well. One of the biggest challenges with a growing staff is the consistent use of the brand. 1) You probably already ensure that any of your materials are consistent in color, logo, and messaging. I've seen big misses by companies in the use of email by their employees. Make sure that you have a consistent expectation of signature lines, logo, brand slogans, and such. Even more importantly is that emails to external parties should always be professional. Too often, these can slide to a "texting standard". External emails should have a business letter level of professionalism, as all communication is a stamp on your brand. 2) Sales presentations should follow a template to ensure consistent use of branding. 3) With the proliferation of social media as a way to promote your business, the engagement of your employees helps build that promotion. For example, if your team uses LinkedIn, encourage a consistent use of the brand. First of all, someone in authority should be responsible for building the company's profile page, so all employees can tie to it. Additionally, you can build specific keyword text for linking to your company's website and blog. |
