I´m confused about how to take smart steps when starting my blog. My plans are the following:

  • Create a blog on Tumblr.
  • Start uploading content.
  • Submit it to Google.
  • Register on Analytics.
  • Start to promote through Twitter and Facebook.

The questions are: When content will be enough to start with marketing? Should I start promoting it from the very beginning? If I do that I think my site will look a bit poor, am I right? What else am I missing?

It doesn't really matter when cause getting lots of traffic to your blog will take time. You are over thinking things. Just start blogging.
