I’m doing some research around traditional business and how new trends, methods and practices have affected them in the last 10 years. What is the level of flexibility a small local business should have in order to be up to how to do business in today’s economy? Which are the biggest challenges, difficulties a business owner and new entrepreneur have to face and overcome when just starting? Which are the greatest solutions you find in technology, finances, new management practices, etc?

I´d say:

  • Motivate employees to do their jobs better
  • Improve customer service
  • Adapt to new media marketing strategies
  • Research and categorize data to perform better strategies.

I think those are essential points every traditional local business should take into consideration to adapt, improve and reach its goals and objectives.
