I like the idea of members of the forum voting and earning badges and was wondering if this is a commercially available (or better yet free) web application?

I have an idea on how something similar could be integrated to my site to create a community of people who like my products.

This site is based on StackExchange. The original site that is enormously popular with software developers is called StackOverflow. The creators of StackOverflow created StackExchange which gives others the ability to use the technology, but for whatever topic they think would be useful. Here is a list of existing StackExchange sites. Try it out and if you go through with it post your site address back here. Good luck.

Here's something similar for only $79: http://www.questionanswerscript.com

It will also import questions from Yahoo Answers to fill up your site.

P.S. -- Qwench is a StackOverflow clone -- free and open-source: http://www.qwench.net
