If I had a well read blog how much could it earn?

Tens of thousands of dollars per month. Apparently, famous blogger John Chow does just that. Read his post How I Make $40,000 a Month From a Blog.

Of course, I would suggest that making an amazing amount of money from your blog probably has odds similar to:

  • writing a best-selling book, or
  • becoming a star in a Hollywood film, or
  • writing the next "killer app."

However, it is possible, and people have done it, and it probably takes a lot of hard work.

There's a lot of resources out there for free if you search. Problogger.net has tons of information about it. This site tells you how they do, they don't try to spoon feed the programs they are in attempts to get referrals out of it.

I don't think that blogging is one of those things that a person could just start to do for the money. You have to really like what you do and reap the rewards for being the type of person that stays in your house a lot mostly by yourself. There may be some people that try to make it look glamorous but I think they're full of it.
