My website is finally searchable on Google but it's ranked in the hundreds. Why is that?

It can be a little tricky to get better search engine rankings. It's not a perfect science. Search engine rules for ranking can change from time to time. Google might not fully read your page because of structural issues, or a lack of decent content, or if there aren't any decent websites that link to yours. Your website could also be too small to be of any value to people searching for your topic, or any other range of problems. Look for a niche to exploit. For example, consider whether your website has greater appeal to a local, national, or international region. |

It depends on keywords, Google relies heavily in inbound relevant links to rank a site too. |

Sounds like a lot of work? It is, but creating inbound traffic to your business is a lot cheaper than traditional and worn out direct marketing efforts. For resources to evaluate, check out HubSpot.com. We've recently started with them and it's amazing how much more traffic and business is being generated in a short amount of time. Use their free website grader and get some free tips on where to start your optimizing efforts! Hope this helps, Mark |

You are specifically searching for methods of improving your "Search Engine Results Page" (SERP) There are hundreds of methods to consider, you can find them if you do a google search. I just launched this site that might also be helpful, you are welcome to visit it. Remember one piece of advise I will give you, dont waste to much time testing methods cause what you find today can be rendered obsolete by tomorrow. Instead, use logic and common sense, focus on your content and what your visitors are looking for and Google will do the rest for you. |
