Don't expect riches overnight. Making money online requires a site that generates a significant amount of traffic. There are a few examples where a site becomes "viral" and gets a lot of traffic and exposure from the very first day (People Of Walmart is a good example). But most sites take time to gain popularity, and you have to be patient and persistent to make that happen. Your site needs to have good content, and fresh content. You need people to want to come back and see it again tomorrow. You need people to tell their friends about it. You need people to link to it from their sites. Focus first on creating and maintaining a great site, then focus on turning that into cash.
