I have a blog that provides information about health, fitness and fashion. I am increasing my traffic everyday but I am not seeing revenues.

I know that there are many things to improve and I believe that if I place some ads and I make some changes I`ll make more money.

Do I need to hire somebody that is specialized on that? Can I do it myself? What are the ad alternatives I have? Is there any agency I need to get in touch with?

Check the CPC and what’s happened to the stats in the last few days. That will give you a hint.

You have to change the usefulness of your website to increase conversions and turn leads into buyers. Maybe placing some ads in “hot spots” helps, but they gotta be relevant to the site.

Google website Optimizer might help you when improving conversion rates.

There are many options available -- you can contact me via the website listed in my profile and I'll give you some quotes.

There's also a lot of things to think about related to the usability of your website and the type of actions you're trying to get conversions on (and that is BOTH an art AND a science ;)

One think to keep in mind: Simple is Better than complex, and many people will close a browser window or press the back button in less than 2 seconds. :O

Hope to hear from you, and also that I'll be able to help! :)

After reading this article it makes me feel that you need some affiliate marketing, or a different approach, as traditional AdSense or CPC through traditional channels may not be very effective.

Hope this helps. I would personally recommend you try your best to focus on niche advertising based on your blog's target demographic.

Commission Junction (cj.com) is very easy to set-up, implement and has a fairly sizable directory of health-related companies that could be advertisers/affiliates on your site. Good luck!

There are many ways to generate revenue through a blog. I will list a few for example:

  • Online ads
  • Affiliations
  • Traditional sale
  • ....

Each category I listed here there are some sub categories inside such as

Online ads

  1. Google AdSense
  2. Ads banner from those who want to advertise on your website
  3. Contextual ads where you place ads on your keyword

There are a lot of techniques about generating revenues to your website. Firstly, I suggest you place Google Adsense on your website right now. AdSense is a familiar revenue program for bloggers and it could help you earn a nice profit. Next, you could extend to some other website such as AdBrite, TextAds, etc....

The best way to learn about these is getting online resources at problogger.com or johnchow.com. They are well-known bloggers and they would help you to get some tips. Or you can learn from the book called "Problogger: Way to six figure income", etc. If you would like, I could consult for you for free about how to generate money on your blog. I hope that helps. Love to hear from you again. Thank you.
