How do I know if my first hire is doing well?

It can be an exhilarating feeling when you ask your first person to join the team, whether as a Co-Founder or employee #1.

But it can also create apprehension because you are probably letting go of control in the business for the first time ever.

Being able to have regular check-ins on milestones and deliverables is really important to catch any early misalignment among teams.

Ask probing questions, create talk tracks, and always be reviewing the work completed on a regular basis.

As they "inspect what you expect", and you will sleep a lot better at night.
