This is a really great question! I have authored or co-authored numerous blogs, articles, recipes, website copy, and educational content. Whenever I begin a new writing project I always start off with what my objective or goal of the piece is. What are you looking to teach the reader by the end of your piece of writing? I have authored several books on fashion market, from my experience I have learnt to understand my target readers, know their interests and capitalize on the interest as the main objective of my writing.
Also, when writing, you have to remember to be simple, don't ramble so you won't distract your audience from your objective.
