So, if an Entrepreneur asks someone to be a partner, where people often make the very bad 50/50 decision, what equity seems right for a more than a full-time contributor? I was asked to be a partner by an Entrepreneur. Because he had invested several years in time and money, I agreed to 10-15% to be decided in a discussion with an Attorney. After 14 months of up to 80 hour weeks, the equity became 1% and still no written agreement. 14 months of my time, if I had only worked 40 hour weeks, would have been more than double the money invested by the Inventor.
