Normally agree strongly with your articles, but not this one. Practicalities aside, it dismisses the value people contribute at each stage of a company’s life. A founding member could give three years at the fraction of their market salary. Do they not deserve a reward for this later on exit. They’ve invested their time and money in the business.

What about the early investors? If they’re on the cap table and no longer “contributing” should their stake also ebb away over time, on the same basis?
