How do websites like Bleacher Report attract massive social media engagement and impressions?

Mario Ashley

I'd love to break down their success with you. I once heard they have over 60 million monthly viewers! Heres what I know about them: 1. 10+ years Many of these so-called "overnight" success is not overnight. They have been around for 10+years now. Be ready to be in this for the long haul. 2. Real-time marketing Their coverage on popular sporting events was one of the most unique propositions. Since then many other companies have followed suit. They followed the big events on ESPN and posted instantly about them. 3. Create an experience The CEO was quoted about how they seek advertisers. He said, "We do a good job of walking that line between creating resonating experiences and pulling brands into them." 4. Cross Promoting When they landed a tv deal with Turner they advertised their app platform to the masses. This created great traction. Web Applications

What software should I integrate to handle the credit card payment on my app?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

Hey Andrew, That's a great question. Here are some things to consider: 1. Integration Research the integration methods of the software. They don't all work the same. 2. Processing Fees This is a very unregulated market. The fees fluctuate greatly. Know the differences between the major card processors. 3. Budget How much money do you have to send on this? There are free versions that take money on the back end (usually higher) and paid versions that take less on the back end). Does that help answer your question? -Mario Ashley, MBA Schedule a free call with me here: https://clarity.fm/settings/expert/vip-link

How do you know when you're on the right career path?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

I think if you have that question you probably are not on it yet and that okay. When I was an undergrad in college I was studying to be a teacher. While in college I was a personal trainer. I really loved doing that but at the time never thought about doing it full time. Then while in my 3rd year I learned of a training program called CrossFit. It completely challenged everything I thought about training. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I absorb every ounce of energy into studying the methodology. One time in college while listening to my professor discuss the meaning of a passage of Romeo and Juliet I found myself secretly reading articles about CrossFit. It was then I knew that was what I wanted to do. And even though I graduated with a degree in English I still pursue become a CrossFit trainer. That eventually lead to me opening up a gym and with the knowledge I got as a business owner I went back to school to get my MBA. As much as you try to force the path sometimes the path finds you. Belief in yourself. There's no such thing as failure. Everything in life is an opportunity to learn and grow. I'd love to listen to more of your story on a free conference call. Conversion Optimization

What is the best tip to build trust with my online store visitors from Google Ads while I don't have reviews from current or past clients?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

My business would not be what it is without Google reviews. You have to start somewhere to get these reviews because unlike other review platform Google reviews are the most trustworthy. Here are my ideas based on what has worked for me: 1. Automate Have an automation set up that directly emails your customer approximately 7 days post purchase that kindly as them to review your product. 2. Direct Don't be afraid to reach out to them personally asking for a review. When you send them an email with something specific in it based on your previous conversation with them. "I hope your daughter really enjoys the frame we created for her birthday.....By the way, if you can a chance it would mean a lot if you wrote a review about our product. These reviews help us attract great customers just like you." 3. Website Widget Download this plugin called "Google Reviews Business" on to your website. It automatically aggregates your Google reviews. Purchase the premium version as it has its option for a dynamic slider section and "write a review section" that you can direct your automation toward. I hope that helps get you started. Revenue Modeling

What is the best way to figure out your revenue model for a mobile app that's service related?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

As I continue to study the mobile app market I have noticed that the "freemium" model is best and most popular. By definition: Freemium is a pricing strategy by which a product or service (typically a digital offering or an application such as software, media, games or web services) is provided free of charge, but money (premium) is charged for additional features, services, or virtual (online) or physical (offline) goods. When you begin building out your app create features that can only be use as a paid add on. Many marketers call this the "hook and bait" but I hate that term. I look at it as given people the opportunity to experience your app if they like it enough they will be incline to get more of an experience by paying for it and rightfully so. Selling

What tips do you have on optimizing Craigslist and similar classified type listings so they are found and sell quickly?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

There are various ways you can do this. The best way to do this is to post daily. To better streamline your ad I would copy and paste your description for speed and efficiency. If you are not limited by location I would post on CL to the largest cities in the U.S. These listing have more views so in turn you get found and seen by more traffic.

Marketing Strategy

Is starting a blog from scratch today still an effective marketing tool? Or another suggestion?

A blog also acts as a comprehensive database of all your work. If you don't do this you it will get lost posting on FB, LinkedIn, Medium, etc.

Online Marketing

What are the most rare / valuable skills in online marketing?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

There are a lot of great answers here but at the core of your question is "how do I become great?" How did Michael Jordan become great? How did Steve Jobs become great? How did Tom Brandy become great? My question to you is why do you want to pursue online marketing? Are you passionate about it? Or are you wanting to pursue this because you think you can make alot of money doing it? I know many people that make great money offering online marketing for business but are miserable. I also know many people who love online marketing but can't make a living doing it. Hope that helps! Lets get on a phone call soon!

Automotive

What are the best practices for starting a paint shop for cars?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

So many great questions here. Every market is different so the most important thing you can do is research your current marketing. Here's what I would do if I was you. 1. Go online and visit the 5 biggest paint shops in your town. Using the questions you just asked answer each and every one of them. 2. Pick the strengths of each answer and implement that in your own paint shop. Discard what you don't like. Focus on things that will make the customer experience smooth and efficient. 3. Create a website to build your brand but don't worry about taking payments online just yet. You need to prove your business model by face-to-face agreements. Websites are the new business card. You want to get that up asap. Hope that helps. If you want more business advice I'd love to chat with you. Mario Ashley http://ashleyashleydesigngroup.com

Online Marketing

How can I attract my target readers to my blog?

Mario Ashley

MBA, CrossFit Gym Owner, lover of life.

If anyone of us actually knew the answer to this we would be millionaires! Here's what has helped be traffic to my own personal site: 1. Write daily The more you write the better you get, the great value and trust you develop with your readership. 2. Distribute your contact. Once you post your blog get it out everywhere. Copy and Paster your content to FB, LInkedIn, Medium, Forums, etc. 3. Write about stuff that excites you and be as natural. Don't get caught up in perfecting grammar. I want to read your blogs as if we were chatting face-to-face. Authenticity is important here. Be yourself. Teach us something we didn't know about tall menswear. Hope that helps. Lets chat sometime to talk ideas on how you can"monetize your passion". Mario Ashley www.marioashley.com
