Bio

Hello there!

In the world of eCommerce and eLearning, I've carved a unique path. Starting my journey in 2014, I immersed myself in the exciting world of drop-shipping and eCommerce, quickly realizing that this realm was no place for the faint-hearted. But I was up for the challenge.

Over the years, I've specialized in multiple areas, including Shopify, Kajabi, Email Marketing, Facebook Advertising, and Online Courses, effectively outsourcing tasks when necessary. I understand that mastering one's craft is not about knowing a little bit of everything, but knowing everything about a few things – and doing them exceptionally well.

Today, I stand as a guiding light for those navigating the complex world of eCommerce and eLearning. My experience has been hard-earned, but it has given me the tools to help others and pay forward the lessons I've learned. I believe in building bridges, not walls, and I'm always looking to expand my network and create new, meaningful connections.

Now, I'm on a mission to share my expertise, to lend my skills to those ready to take on the world of digital business, and to help them avoid the pitfalls I've encountered along the way. If you're in the eCommerce or Online Course business and looking for someone who's been through the trenches, I'm your guy.

Let's make the complex simple and the impossible possible. Connect with me, and together we'll write your success story in the digital age.

Here's to your journey to the top,
Xavier

How to earn money from home ?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

There's a lot of ways to earn money from home: Creating a course, offering freelancer services, affiliates, streaming, etc. The best way I found have been to build my eCommerce business. I started part time while I was working at a golf club, and eventually started making a few hundred $ per day in profit with my store. It was enough to stop working at the golf and focus all my time and effort on my store. Since then I was able to build a team of freelancer to help manage the day to day operations so I can reduce my hours while increasing the income. Social Media Marketing

How to start social media marketing.

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

Hard to answer this question with not much detail, but first, get a solid offer (product, service, etc) before starting to learn about social media marketing. Social Media Marketing get much easier when you have a solid offer that offer value to the market than the opposite. Kickstarter for charity?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

Having done a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter & Indiegogo last year to launch a new brand, I think crowdfunding sites have amazing potential and are here to stay. That being said, Gofundme will definitely be your biggest competitor in that space, but I think you can definitely add more value to this marketplace to connect people closely with the charities they want to support. Having the organization who receives the fund obligated to "show" how they are using the fund and giving a detailed update to the backers would be great to avoid people taking advantage of the system like many have done on gofundme... I think as long as you can connect people with their favorite organization and give them the trust and confidence that the money is going to the right place, a Kickstarter for charity will always be a success. Check out the Kickstarter campaign I did last year that raised $154k - I'd like to share with you what I learned from this experience and what I like/dislike about Kickstarter that could be improved. Ecommerce Strategy

Advise on ecommerce.

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

If you want mass adoption like Paypal and Wechat, I would say make your e-wallet customer-centered. Make it as easy and secure as possible for your user to do transactions and send money to their friends. Once you have a lot of users, shop and ecommerce owners will naturally come to you. As for the financial side, I would also model Paypal and their fees structure to start. Good luck with your project!

Product Design

Does anyone have experience creating a journal and if so, do you have a designer and format person you'd recommend?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

For graphic designs I tend to find the best designer on Upwork & Freelancer, But If it's just for 1 journal, I'd recommend checking hatchwise.com & 99designs.com - You can start a contest there (hatchwise is much cheaper) and have tons of designer posting different ideas. Last time I received 150+ logo design idea for a new brand. I would do the same for a journal or book cover, the investment will be worth it. Good luck with your project!

How small and medium Business Can Prepare For Life After Coronavirus? Any practical useful advice on how to survive and what to do PLEASE.

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

BE CREATIVE! I think right now is an amazing opportunity for every business to redefine themselves and stand out from the noise. If you have a restaurant for example that was forced to close because of Coronavirus, maybe you can redesign your menu and concept for delivery? - Send a mail coupon for delivery to everyone in your area. - Create special delivery deal - Sign up on all major food delivery app - Run low budget Facebook ads in your city I also like taking this time to review the financial of my business and cut down on expenses as much as I can. If you do that, you should be on your way to survive and maybe even thrive during the Coronavirus, then once this is over you can just keep doing what works best for you. Good luck! ;)

How to pick the first best fitted marketing channel for growth?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

I can only talk from my experience which is with eCommerce company, but the way I see it Google & Facebook needs to be approached from a different perspective: - Facebook is perfect if you have a brand that is "exciting" where you can create video or image that will make people react and learn about your products. Maybe a how-to video, or a customer testimonial talking about your product for example? - Google on the other end is better when you are selling something that people search for. For example, if you are a startup company selling notebook, a lot of people will be searching for that on Google so it's easy to appears at the top of the search result and get this search traffic. Most of the time you will have a "main" traffic sources and other complementary. For me it's Facebook 90% and Google 10%. I'd like to learn more about your startup and the field you operate so that I can give more actionable advice base on your situation. I'm new to Clarity, but check out some of the good reviews I received so far: https://clarity.fm/xavier-cl/reviews Cheers! 🥂

Retail Industry

Feedback if this idea has a business model and can be profitable?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

I could see this concept working and getting lot of attentions, but I'm not sure how you could make it profitable with all the returns and exchange to handle. + Shipping cost are very high for large items like TV if you pay for them. I would suggest you read the book on Zappos for some comparable example of customer focused business

How do multi brand furniture ecommerce stores operate?

Xavier Couture

eCommerce & eLearning Expert (Shopify & Kajabi)

The "old" multi brand furniture eCom have probably been doing it the traditional way. Buying inventory and reselling it online as they would in a retail store. But if you were to start a multi brand furniture ecom in 2020, I would recommend you start by reaching out to those established furniture stores and ask if they could dropship furnitures if you were to bring them new customers. You will be surprised most of them will be happy to work with you as long as you bring new customers. On your end, it's a win win because you will get the same multi brand furniture for your store, without having to hold all the inventory. Margin for furniture can go from 30%-300% - It really depend from where you are sourcing them and if you want to be a more affordable or luxurious furniture brand. Hope that help!
