Ideally find someone who can introduce you. Cold emails are very hard to pull off, yet a warm introduction always gets a response. If you have to send a cold email, KEEP IT SHORT, make sure you are clear on what you can do for the person reading the email, and what it is you are asking for. Get them asking relevant questions, and you are now in a conversation.
