Giant Leap Tech
I am an engineer and physicist by training, and I am experienced at early-stage technology development. I have a background in applied technology development, theoretical physics, mathematical modeling, patent writing, intellectual property development, digital in-bound marketing and business development. Currently I am developing a new field of optics based on controlling fluidic meta-matierals with dielectrophoresis. Applications include Augmented reality, solar energy collection and many others. I have in prior jobs been a principal investigator for DARPA on solar-pumped fiber-laser arrays and have been involved in field-testing high-energy laser weapon systems for the government. I have developed novel hardware concepts for national laboratories, academic research institutions and industry in such areas as ultra-high efficiency solar trackers, plasmonic photovoltaics using nano-scale "vacuum tubes", high temperature superconductivity, radar systems, sensors, material studies using electron beam accelerators, adaptive RF antennas, adaptive light propagation, solid-state RF-ID tags, millimeter-wave based friend-or-foe detectors for the military, covert digital communications, microwave phase conjugating radio, super conducting and cryogenic electronics, continuous and pulsed light steering, quasi electrostatic actuation for light beam control, time-domain pulsed-waveform antennas, frequency-domain antennas, micro-fluidics, stereolithography and even some work in novel high energy electromagnetic propulsion systems.
I believe in relentlessly challenging the status quo and thinking differently in order to create a better world for humanity and I love X-Prize class problems.
