Mike is a 26+ year veteran of the CPG industry working for top tier companies such as Gillette, P&G, Red Bull, Pfizer, Mars Chocolate, Dean Foods and BANG Energy, across food, beverage, OTC, HBA and General Merchandise categories. He has also garnered diverse experience with startups in the beverage industry and Artificial Intelligence space.

Mike accelerated his notoriety in the Beverage Industry during his time at BANG Energy where he was responsible for leading the negotiation and commercialization of the Pepsi Beverage Distribution agreement and transition of BANG from the Anheuser Busch Independent DSD network. This was marked as one of the largest distribution transitions in the history of US Beverage Market. During his tenure at BANG, Mike built and led Chain and Category Management Teams of 70+ employees working with over 400 retailers, overall commercialization, along with managing the Pepsi relationship. Results included building BANG from $300M to $850M in Revenue, increasing ACV from 65 to 92 and achieving a 9.8% market share.

Since BANG, Mike has advised and supported emerging and start up brands across alcohol (spirits and malt), functional beverages and functional snacks working across Natural, Conventional, Liquor and Non-traditional channels. This complements his work in the organic juice, dairy, sports drinks, coconut water and shot categories across beverage.

Beyond Beverage, he has worked across many categories to include, HBA, OTC, General Merchandise and AI Technology impacting categories across the entire store and retail formats. Roles supporting this experience range from General Management, Commercialization, Sales, Marketing and Strategy

Today, Mike acts as Chief Advisory Officer for Key Account Collective, a boutique sales agency he co-founded in 2023. Client list includes brands in the Alcohol and Non-alcohol beverage categories. He has held fractional C-Suite roles with Family Offices and Tech Start-ups. He is an Entrepreneur working with Entrepreneurs.

Mike, and wife Amy Sweeney live in Hilton Head Island, SC with their youngest child Emma. Their oldest son is a student-athlete as a member of the Tennis team at University of Arkansas. His twin sister is a dance and performance major at University of South Carolina.
