Mac OS X

What are some good alternatives to ScreenFlow on Mac OS X to capture audio/video?

ScreenFlow has proven to be good so far, but has also caused us to lose important content due to corruption and some times simply not working.

I am a Camtasia lover for years. Even on a Mac. My internet marketing friends all prefer it except for the few who like ScreenFlow.

Discover, Play, Promote.

Check out ambrosia's software, it's worth buying. For audio I love Wire Tap Studio: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/wiretap/. WireTap records the 'internal audio' of your computer, and you can isolate programs ex: chrome or iTunes. It also let's you control the recording format (file type), bit, sampling, etc.

I have not tested their video capture software but if it is anything like WireTap it will be great!
Good luck~

I believe screencastomatic.com is Ios friendly.

Sony Vegas Studio.

I'm a Camtasia lover, myself. ;)

Screencast o matic comes in handy for quick screen captures, non complex editing, and sharing tutorials with team members. When a video is publishing, with a $15 (annual) pro membership, you can record anther video or use the program unlike Camtasia.

The built-in QuickTime Player bundled with the latest version of OS X can record desktop videos is a nice free option. File>New Screen Recording. It does depends on how much detail you want to show. Screenflow is nice in that it allows you to zoom in on the screen after the recording for details without losing resolution. Many of the other options out there lock in the resolution at capture. So if you go to zoom into say a particular area of the screen later, it will lose resolution due to the scaling and lose some detail.
